Formal development of avionics software for UAVs

Recorded in Lattes as completed in 2018–2019, this umbrella project investigated a relatively low-cost hardware and software platform for research on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Its proposal included formal methods for specifying and analyzing avionics software components.

Formal verification can provide rigorous evidence of specified properties subject to the models, abstractions, and assumptions used. The curricular description does not establish that every physical or software component was verified or that aviation certification was achieved.

Related project: SERVANT-ES (2019–2021), described as part of this research line. Both projects remain separate curricular records, with their respective periods preserved.
