Forest-restoration drone with LoRa technology

This research project (2020–2021) proposed instrumenting an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to support reforestation tasks, including carrying and depositing seeds with GPS-assisted navigation. Its plan involved flight control, a robotic gripper, inertial sensors, distance measurement, and long-range wireless communication.

LoRa was among the communication technologies to be evaluated for low-power, long-range connectivity. The Lattes record describes proposed components and goals but does not establish delivery of a complete prototype, autonomous operational performance, or measured reforestation outcomes.

Coordination: Professor Richard Junior Manuel Godinez Tello. Participation: Jefferson Oliveira Andrade as a researcher, alongside Karin Satie Komati, Bruno Rocha Pratti, and Walter Adriani Gazolli Silva, according to the team recorded in Lattes.
