NOVA-IA Indústria proposes to establish specialized data center and high-performance computing infrastructure at Ifes Serra Campus, supporting compute-intensive artificial intelligence applications and scientific simulations. The initiative aims to serve academic research and the technological needs of industry.
Its initial application areas include mining and steelmaking, with studies addressing energy efficiency, decarbonization, emissions reduction, advanced manufacturing, and the integration of digital technologies into industrial processes. The proposal relates these activities to Sustainable Development Goals 9, 13, and 17.
